Malaysia’s M40 Middle-Income Group Among Government Priorities Ahead of 2027 Budget

Malaysia’s 2027 budget, due to be presented next month, is expected to focus on the socioeconomic pressures facing middle-income households and less-affluent groups.

Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim, the Finance Minister’s political secretary, said the M40 group and lower-income households would receive attention because they are among those most affected by economic pressure and rising living costs.
