Malaysian Actress Ridani Ghani Dies After Cancer Battle

Malaysian actress Ridani Ghani has died at the age of [age not specified] after a year-long struggle with ovarian cancer. She passed away at Selayang Hospital around 7 a.m. The news was confirmed by her close friend, Yaya Maembong, who shared the information on Instagram. "Assalamualaikum, I just received the news that Ridani has passed away around 7 this morning," Maembong wrote. "The body will be taken to Bukit Damansara Mosque for funeral rites."

According to a relative, Ridani passed away shortly after her son, Faiq, finished his Subuh (dawn) prayers. "This morning after Subuh prayers, my sibling called me to inform me about mommy's condition," the relative shared. "Every day around 6 a.m., they would change her disposable diaper. After that, around 6:30 a.m., mommy would sleep again, and my sibling performed Subuh prayers. Before he prayed, mommy was still breathing as usual. But after finishing the prayer, he turned, and mommy was no longer breathing."

The late actress was buried at the Bukit Kiara Muslim Cemetery after the Zohor (afternoon) prayer. Prior to that, her body was taken to Masjid Saidina Umar Al-Khattab for bathing and funeral prayers.
