Malaysian Pilgrimage Fund Tabung Haji Used for Political Interests, Royal Inquiry Finds

A Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report has exposed alleged financial misconduct and systemic breaches of law within Tabung Haji (TH), Malaysia's pilgrimage fund. The findings suggest the institution was allegedly manipulated for political gain, prompting calls for immediate legal action.

According to the RCI's revelations, financial manipulation and legal violations occurred systematically. Harris Idaham Rashid, Information Chief of Armada, the youth wing of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, stated that enforcement agencies must prosecute individuals implicated in the alleged mismanagement. He emphasized that the RCI report clearly indicates a pattern of abuse within TH's governance.

Armada's statement urges swift action from regulatory bodies to address the findings. The group believes the report provides sufficient evidence to pursue legal avenues against those responsible for the alleged wrongdoing.
