Malinauskas reacts to Poderskio's statement: 'It should be clear to every idiot'

A heated exchange has erupted between blogger Skirmantas Malinauskas and former Environment Ministry Chancellor Povilas Poderskis, escalating a dispute related to Lithuania's ongoing "garbage crisis." The conflict intensified after Poderskis dismissed comments as "idiots' ramblings," prompting a strong rebuttal from Malinauskas.

Malinauskas alleges that competitors attempted to acquire the waste management company "Energesman" just days before the crisis began. He claims that after this acquisition failed, the crisis was deliberately instigated. New waste management operators have been brought in, but the opposition suspects they will charge significantly higher prices, according to LNK news.

Malinauskas further accused Poderskis, who recently held a high-ranking position in the ministry, of acting as an intermediary for private companies. He questioned whether Poderskis was acting altruistically or if his actions were influenced by his past roles and potential benefits. Malinauskas publicly stated that Poderskis should not be allowed near public funds again, emphasizing his belief that the situation is clear to "every idiot."
