Maluku Treasury Office Boosts Transparency and Public Service Quality via 2026 Consultation Forum

The Maluku Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) is actively working to improve its public services and transparency through the 2026 Public Consultation Forum (FKP). This initiative serves as a platform for performance evaluation and the enhancement of treasury services, aiming for greater speed, accountability, and responsiveness to the needs of the public and stakeholders.

Anang Rohmawan, Head of the DJPb Maluku Regional Office, emphasized the necessity of transforming treasury services by fostering collaboration, leveraging digital technology, and strengthening the integrity of its personnel. "The collaboration between the state budget (APBN) and the regional budget (APBD) is key to Maluku's development. Treasury services must be fast, follow procedures, be supported by quality human resources, and be based on digital technology," he stated. Rohmawan added that service quality is measured not only by administrative speed but also by the government's openness to public criticism and input for continuous improvement.

The office is committed to a service model free of charge and strictly against gratuities, reinforcing a zero-tolerance policy for corruption. To boost professionalism, treasury officials are encouraged to obtain competency certifications by 2026. The transformation is further supported by optimizing digital systems like SAKTI and SPAN, making service processes more effective, transparent, and accountably monitored. The forum also addressed participant feedback on accelerating regional budget absorption, enhancing treasury official competencies, and improving the accountability of state financial management.

Regarding budget absorption, the DJPb stressed that acceleration must prioritize spending quality, target accuracy, and compliance with regulations. Regional governments are urged to strengthen inter-agency coordination, expedite procurement processes, and conduct regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure optimal utilization of transfer funds for public welfare. On financial reporting, the office clarified that a "Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian" (WTP) or unmodified audit opinion does not exempt institutions from corruption risks, necessitating robust internal control systems and investigative audits.
