Man Accused of Selling Marijuana to Children for €10 Per Gram

In a concerning development, a 22-year-old man faces serious charges in Croatia for allegedly distributing drugs, including marijuana, to minors. The Varaždin County State Attorney's Office has indicted the young man, accusing him of selling marijuana for €10 per gram to a 15-year-old and an adult over an eight-month period spanning from late May 2025 to January 2026. This alleged activity took place within the Koprivnica-Križevci County.

Further complicating the charges, the accused is also implicated in providing marijuana to a 16-year-old girl on two separate occasions between July and December 2025 in Koprivnica, allegedly allowing her to consume the drug. Adding to the gravity of the situation, he is accused of acquiring a quantity of psilocybin-containing hallucinogenic mushrooms in November 2025 with the intent to further distribute them.

The prosecution is seeking the forfeiture of any illicit profits gained by the accused and is requesting an extension of his pre-trial detention, citing the risk of re-offending.
