A man deliberately drove his car into pedestrians outside the Cannes train station on Wednesday evening, killing two people and injuring approximately ten. The perpetrator, identified as a 26-year-old Russian national of Chechen origin legally residing in France, was arrested shortly after the incident.

His statements are undergoing thorough verification, and he was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the events. Authorities confirmed that a second victim, who was in a coma and suffering from cardiopulmonary arrest, succumbed to their injuries on Thursday morning. Police sources indicate the perpetrator may have been attacked the previous evening by several individuals. He then returned with his car, drove into people at the bus stop, and hit others present.

The injured individuals are all men, ranging in age from 17 to about 40. The first victim was a 35-year-old Afghan national, and the injured come from various nationalities. The suspect is not known to intelligence services and had only minor traffic violations on his record.
