Manavgat Search and Rescue Team Strengthens Forest Fire Intervention Capacity

The Manavgat Search and Rescue Team (MAK), a group of volunteers under the Manavgat Municipality's Disaster Affairs and Risk Management Directorate, has strengthened its capabilities in combating forest fires. The team recently participated in a Forest Fire Response Training organized by the Manavgat Forest Management Directorate.

The practical training focused on essential techniques for fighting fires, including the correct and effective use of equipment and field coordination. These sessions are designed to bolster the MAK team's ability to respond swiftly and cohesively to the increasing number of forest fires expected during the summer season.

By enhancing their skills and preparedness, the MAK team aims to provide a more robust defense against wildfires. Their dual role in search and rescue operations and now enhanced forest fire response signifies their commitment to contributing to the safety and security of the community.
