María Becerra triumphs in Madrid with an emotional concert full of surprises

Argentine star María Becerra delivered an emotionally charged performance at Madrid's Noches del Botánico, unveiling her latest album and embodying four distinct alter egos: Jojo, Shanina, Maite, and Gladys. The concert was a vibrant display of her artistry, blending dance and song while sharing deep personal feelings with an engaged audience.

Becerra's charismatic stage presence was evident throughout the show. She invited a fan to sing with her, dedicated the song “Perdóname” to her long-time supporters, and ventured into the crowd to perform her new song 'Tatú'. The audience, dressed in the colors of the Argentine flag and national team jerseys, responded with enthusiastic singing and cheering, creating a powerful connection with the artist.

The night was filled with surprises, including the debut of an unreleased song, 'Así', performed with Spanish artist Abraham Mateo, whom Becerra expressed great admiration for. Chilean singer Karteyes joined her on stage for 'Lonely', and her partner, Argentine rapper J Rei, performed 'Mi amor' with her, adding to the evening's excitement.

Amidst the concert, Becerra acknowledged the severe wildfires affecting the Madrid community, which had forced the evacuation or confinement of thousands. She expressed solidarity with those impacted and applauded the efforts of the firefighters. "We want to send all our love to the affected people, and send applause to all the firefighters," she stated. Her Spanish tour, which includes stops until August 2, features her latest album 'Quimera', exploring themes of sensuality, romance, obsession, and pain through her alter egos and personal narratives. Becerra recently performed the Argentine anthem at the World Cup final in New York, where Spain secured victory against Argentina.
