Melaka Polls: No Official Talks Yet Between BN and PN on Seat Understanding

Discussions between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) about seat arrangements for the upcoming Melaka state election have not yet begun officially. BN Deputy Chairman Mohamad Hasan acknowledged that both parties have issued different statements regarding which seats they will contest, describing it as a normal part of politics.

Mohamad, who also chairs BN in Negeri Sembilan, reminded the newly appointed State Executive Council members that they must act as the primary bridge to strengthen the relationship between the government and the people. This, he said, is crucial for ensuring government policies and agendas are implemented effectively. He expressed high confidence in the appointed Excos to cooperate closely with the Chief Minister and fulfill their responsibilities within their respective portfolios.

He stressed that Excos are not only responsible for explaining government policies to the public but must also actively solicit feedback.
