Menteri Besar Candidate to Be Decided After State Election

The Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition plans to reveal its candidate for Negeri Sembilan's Menteri Besar position only after the upcoming state election. This decision comes with the condition that BN successfully forms the state government. Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias, chairman of the Negeri Sembilan UMNO Liaison Body, stated that BN possesses multiple capable individuals who could potentially lead the state administration.

"We have several candidates and we do not lack figures to lead the state government," Jalaluddin said. He emphasized that the final decision on who will be appointed Menteri Besar will rest with the BN chairman, following a successful election outcome. This ensures that the chosen leader will have the mandate to govern effectively.

Jalaluddin made these remarks following the candidate nomination process for the state legislative assembly seats of Chennah, Pertang, Sungai Lui, and Klawang in Jelebu. The announcement strategy indicates BN's focus on securing victory first before finalizing their leadership choice for the state.
