Mercedes Refreshes Marco Polo Campervan with Enhanced Space, Comfort, and Tech

Mercedes-Benz has refreshed its Marco Polo campervan, a versatile vehicle designed to function as a daily driver and a compact recreational vehicle. The updated model, based on the V-Class, introduces significant enhancements to its living quarters, comfort features, and onboard electronics, catering to the growing popularity of campervans that offer freedom without the bulk of larger motorhomes.

A standout improvement is the redesigned pop-up roof, constructed from lightweight, durable aluminum. This roof can be raised at the rear by an additional 10 centimeters, increasing headroom. Integrated within this space is ambient LED lighting, offering a choice between cool, energizing light and warm, relaxing tones. For the first time, the Marco Polo features an optional tiltable panoramic sunroof, providing more natural light and fresh air during the day, and a view of the night sky from the sleeping area.

Convenience is further enhanced with a redesigned awning that is easier to install and remove, featuring a concealed crank for operation. Interior comfort is improved with magnetically attached blinds around the cockpit, simplifying setup for overnight stays and enhancing privacy. The vehicle also boasts a new, custom-designed sound system with eight speakers and a subwoofer, which can be enjoyed even after the car's multimedia system is switched off, utilizing Bluetooth connectivity for campsite entertainment.

Mercedes continues to integrate its Advanced Control (MBAC) system, which allows users to manage the living functions of the campervan like a smart home. The latest version of MBAC, accessible via the central display or a smartphone app, offers expanded control over the vehicle's living space features.
