Meteorology issues strong rainfall warning for 5 Turkish provinces

The Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM) has issued a severe weather warning, forecasting heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across several parts of the country. The advisory highlights specific areas expected to experience significant precipitation, including the Toroslar region of the Mediterranean, the Eastern Black Sea, northern Eastern Anatolia, and surrounding areas of Kocaeli, Samsun, Ordu, Tokat, Bingöl, and Muş.

More localized but intense rainfall is anticipated in the provinces of Ordu, Rize, Artvin, Kars, and Ardahan, where the showers are predicted to be locally strong. The MGM indicated that other regions of the country are expected to have partly cloudy to clear skies.

In addition to the rainfall, strong winds are expected to blow from the north and northeast along the southern Marmara coast and the North Aegean coast. The MGM has cautioned citizens about potential negative impacts resulting from these adverse weather conditions.

Regarding temperatures, the MGM stated that they are generally expected to remain around seasonal norms, with a slight increase in the southern parts of the country. The forecast suggests a generally stable temperature pattern despite the expected precipitation and wind events.
