Metrobús Lines 1 and 7 affected by rains; several stations closed

Heavy rains have caused significant disruptions to Mexico City's Metrobús system, affecting Lines 1 and 7. Service has been suspended on several stations, impacting commuters along key routes.

Line 1, which runs along Insurgentes Avenue, is currently operating only between El Caminero and Buenavista. The section from Manuel González to Indios Verdes is suspended due to a tree falling onto Insurgentes Norte near the 18 de Marzo station. Stations affected include Manuel González, San Simón, Circuito, La Raza, Potrero, Euskaro, Deportivo 18 de Marzo, and Indios Verdes.

Similarly, Line 7, connecting Campo Marte and Indios Verdes, is experiencing service interruptions. The route is operational from Campo Marte to Avenida Talismán, but service is suspended from Garrido to Indios Verdes. Affected stations on this line are Garrido, Gustavo A. Madero, De los Misterios, Hospital Infantil La Villa, and Indios Verdes.

The Metrobús administration has informed the public about these disruptions, urging passengers to seek alternative transportation or expect delays. The extent of the damage and the timeline for restoring full service remain unclear as the city grapples with the aftermath of the severe weather.
