Mexico: Arsenal and explosives seized in Durango raids

In a significant operation in the El Durazno region of Tamazula, Durango, Mexican authorities have dismantled a cache of weapons and explosives. The raid, which involved a coordinated effort by state police, the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and federal prosecutors, targeted two properties.

During the search, officers discovered and subsequently destroyed 15 improvised explosive devices and 15 detonators. They also confiscated approximately 650 grams of marijuana, 143 rounds of 7.62x39 mm ammunition, and military-style tactical clothing.

A second property yielded a .50 caliber Barret rifle, five .50 caliber magazines, and 15 rounds of .50 caliber ammunition. Several vehicles, including a Ford F-150, a Frontier truck, a razer, an ATV, and a motorcycle, all without license plates, were also seized. One of the locations had been previously secured by authorities.
