Mexico City Closes Three Nightclubs, Arrests Two for Breaking Seals

Mexico City's government conducted "La Noche es de Todos" (The Night Belongs to Everyone) operations across five boroughs this past weekend. The program aims to ensure that commercial establishments operate in accordance with current regulations and maintain necessary safety conditions for citizens.

Participating agencies included the Institute of Administrative Verification (Invea) and the Secretariats of Citizen Security and Integral Risk Management and Civil Protection. These joint efforts focused on venues in the Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Miguel Hidalgo, and Tlalpan boroughs.

During the supervisory and verification rounds, authorities visited 22 establishments. As a result, three nightclubs were shut down due to various irregularities, and two other establishments faced suspension. Furthermore, two individuals were arrested for the crime of breaking official seals, and they have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

The operations were present in specific neighborhoods such as Nueva Santa María, Clavería, Torre Blanca, Tlalpan Centro, Villa Coapa, Prados Coapa, Popular Santa Teresa, Hacienda de Coyoacán, Narvarte Oriente, Álamos, and Santa Cruz Atoyac. Key verification points included compliance with civil protection regulations, administrative documentation, operating hours, and other applicable legal obligations.

The "La Noche es de Todos" program seeks to promote safer and more orderly environments for both residents and visitors in the capital. These supervisory actions are designed to encourage legal compliance and prevent risks in establishments operating at night.
