Mexico City prosecutors seek hotel attacker after viral video

Mexico City prosecutors are actively seeking the individual responsible for assaulting a hotel receptionist in the Santa Fe area. The attack, which took place on July 15, gained widespread attention after a video of the incident was shared on social media.

Bertha Alcalde Luján, the prosecutor general, confirmed that the case has been judicialized and that teams are working diligently to apprehend the suspect. "We are already working specifically on the arrest of the probable responsible party, the teams are working on this point," she stated.

Authorities are also continuing their investigation to determine if any other individuals bear criminal responsibility for the assault. However, Alcalde Luján noted that, as of now, no criminal liability has been established for any other parties involved. The capital's Secretariat of Citizen Security is collaborating with the hotel's security company to aid in the investigation and apprehension.
