Mexico's Green Party Claims Readiness for 2027 Elections, Denies Threat to Allies

Mexico's Green Party (PVEM) has confidently declared its readiness for the 2027 elections, asserting that it possesses suitable candidates to fill every available position. Carlos Puente Salas, the party's coordinator in the Chamber of Deputies, emphasized that this preparedness is not intended as a form of pressure or a threat towards their political allies, Morena and the Labor Party (PT). This statement comes ahead of crucial negotiation sessions aimed at defining the joint candidacy strategy for the upcoming electoral cycle.

Puente Salas highlighted the PVEM's national reach and organizational strength, stating, "The Green Party has profiles, colleagues, to contend for all popularly elected positions that will be presented in the next electoral process of 2027." This includes governorships in 17 states, all federal deputy districts, and all local districts leading to municipal governments. The party's assertion aims to position itself as a strong and indispensable partner within the existing political alliance.

We are about to install that coalition table made up of Morena, the Labor Party, and the Green Party where we will be talking and dialoguing, first of all, about the dates on how we will reach an agreement, what the rules will be, and most importantly, that there is the will of the three political forces and that is what the Green Party brings to the table to build in favor of each state.
