National Photo Contest Launched on Vietnam's Border Beauty

The Central Propaganda and Training Department and the Central Mass Mobilization Department have announced the rules for the fourth national art photography contest and exhibition, titled 'Proud of a Strip of Border.' This initiative, led by the Central Propaganda and Training Department and organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, involves collaboration with several key government ministries and organizations.

The contest seeks to honor the beauty of Vietnam's 22 border provinces. Submissions should focus on the natural landscapes, cultural heritage, people, and daily life in these frontier areas. It also aims to reflect the economic, social, tourism, educational, and digital transformation achievements, as well as international integration efforts in these regions.

Furthermore, the competition encourages entries that highlight border security, crime prevention, disaster response, the bond between the armed forces and civilians, and friendly relations with neighboring countries. The focus extends to recognizing outstanding collectives and individuals who have made significant contributions to the development and protection of the borderlands.

The creative space encompasses the 22 provinces and cities with land borders along the Vietnam-China, Vietnam-Laos, and Vietnam-Cambodia frontiers. The contest is open to Vietnamese citizens aged 15 and above, residing both domestically and abroad, as well as foreigners working or living in Vietnam. Each participant can submit up to 10 works, including single photos and photo series, created from 2024 onwards. Entries must not have won or been exhibited in previous national photography contests organized or co-organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. The submission deadline is August 15, 2026, via the website tuhaomotdaibiencuong2026.com. The contest offers 22 awards, including two first prizes, four second prizes, six third prizes, and ten consolation prizes.
