Ministry of Defense seeks investors for housing project in Thanh Hóa

The Vietnamese Ministry of Defense, through its General Department of Logistics and Engineering, is actively seeking investment for a significant social housing project in Thanh Hóa province. This initiative underscores the government's commitment to improving the living conditions of its armed forces personnel and their families.

The project, to be located in Dong Son ward, will span approximately 21,859 square meters and is slated to construct around 1,000 apartments, designed to accommodate roughly 3,000 residents. The estimated preliminary investment for this endeavor is approximately 1,560 billion VND (around $61 million USD). This development is particularly noteworthy in Thanh Hóa, a province experiencing growth and development, and highlights the strategic importance placed on housing for military families.

According to the General Department of Logistics and Engineering, the design solutions must adhere to the specific requirements of the military as stipulated by the Ministry of Defense. Furthermore, the project must comply with Prime Minister's directive No. 27, which promotes the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in residential areas, and the Minister of Defense's directives on the design, construction, and management of housing for military families. This integrated approach ensures that the housing project is not only functional but also forward-looking and compliant with national development goals.

The project is expected to be completed within 48 months and will have an operational period of 50 years. Investors interested in participating can submit their hồ sơ (dossiers) directly to the Cục Doanh trại (Barracks Department) of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering in Hanoi between May 7th and May 26th. The project will benefit from preferential policies and support available for social housing investments under current Vietnamese law, making it an attractive opportunity for potential investors looking to contribute to national development and military welfare.
