Mitsubishi Fuso strengthens body-building standards for commercial vehicle safety

PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) is strengthening its body-building standards for commercial vehicles, aiming to significantly improve safety and quality. The company has awarded certifications to 34 body-building firms that meet Mitsubishi Fuso's stringent technical and quality benchmarks. This move is part of KTB's commitment to ensuring the highest standards for vehicles operating in Indonesia's diverse business sectors.

Sales and Marketing Director Yosuke Odake emphasized the critical role of collaboration between vehicle manufacturers and body-builders. "Dedication to quality, safety, and compliance with standards are important benchmarks for the national automotive industry," Odake stated. KTB believes that the quality of a commercial vehicle depends not only on the chassis but also on the suitability of its body design. By promoting uniform standards, the company seeks to enhance the safety of vehicles used in logistics, distribution, construction, and other productive sectors.

The certification process involved a thorough evaluation of each company's production facilities, quality control systems, manufacturing processes, and technical documentation. Companies that successfully passed the assessment, which is valid for two years, also participated in factory tours to gain deeper insights into commercial vehicle manufacturing and safety protocols. Additionally, they received training on evolving regulations and technical standards for body construction, equipping them to produce vehicles that meet both safety requirements and operational needs.
