Mitsubishi New Xforce HEV Combines Performance and Efficiency, Features Attractive Programs at GIIAS

Mitsubishi Motors has showcased the impressive range of its new hybrid SUV, the Mitsubishi New Xforce HEV, by completing a remarkable 1,172-kilometer journey on just one tank of fuel. This feat was achieved during a test drive event aimed at proving the vehicle's efficiency and capability.

The demonstration, which involved national race driver Rifat Sungkar, saw the SUV travel from Jakarta to Bali without refueling. Sungkar reported completing the approximately 25-hour journey under normal driving conditions, not in a fuel-efficiency contest. He expressed initial doubt about reaching the target but was impressed by the vehicle's performance, noting its ability to achieve an average of 27.90 km per liter with its 42-liter fuel tank.

Beyond its fuel efficiency, the Mitsubishi New Xforce HEV boasts a new generation hybrid system and several refinements. The suspension has been revised to provide a more comfortable ride, especially on long distances or uneven roads. These enhancements aim to make the hybrid SUV a compelling option for Indonesian consumers.

At the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, Mitsubishi Motors provided attendees with an in-depth look at the New Xforce HEV. The booth featured an educational area with interactive touchscreens explaining the hybrid system's operation. Additionally, test drives were available, allowing potential customers to experience the vehicle's driving characteristics firsthand. Mitsubishi emphasized this approach to ensure consumers understand the technology, comfort, and efficiency offered by their new hybrid model.
