MoFA Summons Pakistani Chargé d’Affaires Over Kunar Strikes

KABUL – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has formally protested recent Pakistani strikes targeting civilian areas and public infrastructure in Afghanistan's eastern Kunar province. In a strongly worded statement, MoFA summoned Pakistan's chargé d'affaires to Kabul and delivered a note condemning the violations of Afghan airspace and territorial integrity.

The ministry unequivocally denounced the attacks, which reportedly martyred seven civilians and wounded 75 others, including students from Syed Jamaluddin Afghan University. MoFA described these actions as a clear breach of international principles and a provocative act, rejecting Pakistan's assertions that the violence originated from Afghan soil. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) stressed the need for a thorough examination of the root causes of the ongoing situation.

MoFA strongly condemned the violation of Afghanistan’s airspace and attacks on civilians, describing them as a clear breach of the country’s territorial integrity, contrary to international principles and a provocative act.

Afghanistan asserted its legitimate right to defend its territory and people, issuing a stern warning to Pakistan that the continuation of such strikes would lead to serious consequences. The IEA urged Pakistan to cease these aggressive actions, emphasizing that the attacks on civilian targets and public facilities undermine regional stability and violate fundamental international norms.
