Colombian footballer Johan Mojica has called for national unity, urging his compatriots to rally behind the national team with the same fervor displayed during the World Cup. Mojica, who was officially presented as a new player for Spanish club Getafe on Tuesday, emphasized the significance of collective support, particularly in light of recent national challenges.

Mojica, a left-back with extensive experience in Spanish football, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he has received from the Colombian community in Spain. He highlighted the large presence of Colombians in the country and praised their service-oriented attitude, especially during what he described as a "delicate moment in all aspects" for Colombia.

Reflecting on the national team's performance in the World Cup held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, Mojica stated, "The national team players suffered that blow we received on a sporting level." He conveyed his appreciation for the support from Colombians in Spain and extended that sentiment to the entire team. The 33-year-old player joins Getafe from Mallorca, having previously played for several other Spanish clubs including Rayo Vallecano, Girona, Elche, Osasuna, and Villarreal. As an international player for Colombia, Mojica brings valuable LaLiga experience to Getafe's new project under manager José Bordalás.
