Monsoon winds remain active across Nepal, bringing the likelihood of thunderstorms and rain to numerous parts of the country on Wednesday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division. The monsoon low-pressure line is positioned near its average, and most of the nation is expected to experience cloudy skies throughout the day.

Currently, light to moderate rainfall is being observed in parts of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. The weather division anticipates moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in several mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Similar conditions are forecast for some mountainous areas in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Many hilly areas within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are also likely to receive moderate rainfall with thunderstorms. The forecast extends to some hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as parts of Madhesh and the Tarai belts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Heavy rainfall is a possibility in a few locations within the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, and the hilly areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. The division has issued alerts for areas prone to heavy rainfall, warning of potential debris flows, floods, landslides, and soil erosion. Daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, and transportation services could be affected, and the public is advised to stay updated on weather information.
