Monterrey Metro Lines 4 and 6 Reach 80% Completion, Governor Reports

Nuevo León Governor Samuel García has announced that construction on Metro lines 4 and 6 in Monterrey has reached an 80% completion mark. During a recent inspection of stations like Churubusco and Y Griega, García highlighted the project's significant progress, emphasizing its role in expanding the city's public transportation network to reach the International Airport of Monterrey.

Accompanied by key infrastructure and transit officials, García observed ongoing work on station platforms, structural elements, and the upcoming installation of escalators and elevators. He stated that weekly updates on the construction's advancement, including the delivery of new trains, will be provided.

Officials elaborated on the design of the stations, noting that the lobby areas are engineered to accommodate high passenger volumes. Capacity analyses considered projected demand for the next 50 years, ensuring the infrastructure can support future growth. The stations are also prepared for the integration of electronic ticketing systems, allowing access via smart cards or QR codes.
