More Remains Found in Da Sap Cave, New Site Identified in Da Nang

Military forces in Da Nang, Vietnam, have discovered a ninth set of remains in the Da Sap cave as they expand their search operations. The discovery comes after nearly two weeks of work in the cave, located in Ha Nha commune.

Earlier finds included five sets of remains on July 13, followed by two more on July 20 and an additional one on July 22. The latest find brings the total to nine, along with various artifacts recovered from the site.

Authorities have now cordoned off a new area within the cave that shows strong indications of holding more remains. This site will undergo a detailed examination following established procedures.

Colonel Dinh Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Da Nang Military Command, visited the site to inspect progress and commend the efforts of the search teams. He urged them to continue expanding the search, meticulously examining all potential locations, and ensuring the safety and thoroughness of their work.

Colonel Hung stated that the continuous discovery of remains and artifacts reinforces the initial assessment that many soldiers' remains are still unaccounted for in the Da Sap cave area. The search teams are working diligently with a deep sense of responsibility and respect to bring these fallen heroes home to their families and homeland.
