Morocco Establishes New Police Units in Nador to Boost Security

The General Directorate of National Security in Morocco has bolstered the security infrastructure in Nador by establishing two new police units. This move, coinciding with the 27th anniversary of the Throne Day, aims to modernize public services and elevate the quality of security provisions.

The new units include a specialized "Tourism Police Force" tasked with safeguarding tourist sites, hotels, and visitor areas. This initiative supports Nador's growing tourism sector and seeks to instill a sense of security among visitors, enhancing the city's appeal as a rising tourist destination.

Alongside the tourism police, the "Regional Intervention Brigade" (BRI) has been created. This unit comprises highly trained officers equipped to handle exceptional and high-risk security situations, such as hostage-taking and armed attacks. The BRI will significantly boost the regional security forces' capacity for rapid and effective response to major threats.

These developments represent a significant step in the ongoing modernization of Morocco's security apparatus. The Directorate General of National Security reaffirms its commitment to enhancing organizational structures and specialized unit capabilities to ensure public safety, protect citizens and their property, and provide contemporary policing services that meet public expectations and local development needs.
