Mother heartbroken as daughter found dead with friend

A mother's grief turned to shock and disbelief when she discovered her teenage daughter dead alongside a friend in an abandoned housing area in Sungai Pari, Buntong, Ipoh. The 36-year-old mother, identified only as Seela, said she had no idea why her daughter was in the area, as the 14-year-old had never been there before.

Seela recounted that she had dropped her daughter and her friend off at school just hours before receiving a call at 4:50 p.m. informing her of their location. She noted that her daughter was still wearing her physical education uniform, the same attire she wore to school.

The victim, the second of three siblings, was described as quiet but had shown no behavioral changes or expressed any problems related to school. Her mother stated that her daughter's academic performance and school life were in order, and she had always picked her up from school daily.

I sent them to school earlier, but at 4:50 p.m., I received a phone call telling me she (the victim) was here (in the abandoned housing area).

Perak Police Chief Datuk Mohd. Alwi Zainal Abidin confirmed that police received a report about the discovery of the two 14-year-old girls' bodies by a security guard during a patrol. Initial investigations suggest the girls voluntarily left school grounds before being found unconscious at the scene. Authorities have not found any evidence indicating the involvement of other parties at this time.
