Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe remains optimistic about the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals, despite acknowledging existing challenges. The tournament, set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, is predicted by Motsepe to be an "enormous success."

While Motsepe did not detail the specific obstacles, concerns have previously been raised regarding the pace of stadium construction in Kenya. Officials have assured that key projects, including the new Talanta Sports City stadium in Nairobi and renovations to the Moi International Sports Centre, are proceeding as planned.
