Real Madrid's squad is "closed," but the transfer market is still open, according to coach Jose Mourinho. Speaking ahead of the team's second LaLiga match against Real Sociedad on August 25, Mourinho noted that the transfer window's openness means player movements are still possible.

"It's closed, but the market is still open," Mourinho said during a press conference. He explained that a player might decide to leave if they are not getting enough game time. Mourinho also mentioned that he is unaware if club president Florentino Pérez or general director José Ángel Sánchez will inform him of any player offers.

Despite these possibilities, Mourinho reiterated that the squad is "closed" and he has no specific requests. He expressed a desire to keep the current roster for the season. The coach also looked forward to returning to the Santiago Bernabéu for the official match, where he hopes for the fans' support for the team, not for him personally.

Mourinho emphasized his wish for the team to experience a different dynamic this season, particularly in the latter stages of matches, compared to the previous year. The team, having won their first league game 2-1 against Espanyol, now faces the Copa del Rey champions.
