Mudflow Aftermath in Gulcho Eliminated in Four Days Thanks to Emergency Services

The community of Gulcho, nestled in Kyrgyzstan's Osh region, has successfully overcome the aftermath of a significant mudflow that struck on April 27th. Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), the devastating effects of the natural disaster have been fully mitigated within a remarkable four-day period.

The consequences of the mudflow have been completely eliminated within four days.

The mudflow, triggered by two consecutive days of intense rainfall, inundated the yards of numerous residential homes, impacting a total of 96 families. The scale of the disaster necessitated an immediate and robust response, which was promptly delivered by the MES. The ministry's deputy head was on-site from the first day, personally overseeing the coordination of relief operations, followed by an inspection from the minister himself on the subsequent day.

All necessary resources, including personnel and equipment, were mobilized to address the crisis. Rescue teams and utility services worked tirelessly, demonstrating remarkable efficiency and collaboration. This concerted effort ensured that the cleanup and restoration work was substantially completed within the four-day timeframe.
