Murillo and Portier Dominate 100m and 110m Hurdles at Central American Games

Colombian athlete María Murillo claimed the gold medal in a closely contested women's 100-meter hurdles final at the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games. Murillo crossed the finish line with a time of 12.64 seconds, narrowly defeating Cuba's Greisys Roble, who clocked 12.68 seconds.

The bronze medal in the women's 100m hurdles went to Paola Vázquez of Puerto Rico with a time of 12.981 seconds. She edged out Denisha Cartwright of the Bahamas, who finished in 12.990 seconds. Other competitors in the final included athletes from Barbados and the British Virgin Islands.

In the men's 110-meter hurdles, Ulric Portier of Guadeloupe emerged victorious, finishing with a time of 13.46 seconds. He was followed by Rinaldo Moore of Trinidad and Tobago, who took silver with 13.56 seconds. The bronze medal was secured by Colombia's John Paredes, who recorded a time of 13.57 seconds.
