Presidential spokesman Daniel Bwala has asserted that his previous critical remarks concerning President Bola Tinubu should no longer be the focus of public discussion. He described these past comments as "baseless" within the current context, while maintaining they were never factually false.

During an appearance on Channels Television's "Politics Today," Bwala expressed surprise that the anchor repeatedly revisited his prior statements instead of addressing pressing national issues. He argued that the conversation should center on governance, including the economy, education, and security, and mentioned a purported letter from U.S. President Donald Trump commending Tinubu's security efforts.
