Nadroga FC bounces back in style

Nadroga FC reignited its 2026 BiC Fiji FACT campaign with a commanding 4-0 victory over Nasinu FC at Subrail Park. This crucial win keeps their semi-final aspirations alive heading into the final round of pool matches.

The team's performance was particularly noteworthy as it came less than 24 hours after suffering an opening-day defeat to Ba FC and losing their first-choice goalkeeper, Sakeo Taganeca, to injury. The victory was dedicated to Taganeca, who remains hospitalized.

Coach Garfield Coaster emphasized the team's need to regroup after the previous loss and injury. "Yesterday’s loss and the loss of our keeper to injury, we went back to camp, had a team talk and regrouped," Coaster stated. "We said if we wanted to make it into the semi-finals, today’s game was very important for us. It was a win-win situation and I’m glad the boys delivered."

Nadroga established dominance early, with Ravinesh Chand scoring the opening goal in the first half. After halftime, Tuidrama Gosai extended the lead. Nasinu defender Shalvesh Chand unfortunately scored an own goal, making it 3-0, before Ravinesh Chand completed his brace to seal the emphatic 4-0 victory. The result positions Nadroga for a decisive final pool match against Lautoka, with a semi-final berth still within reach.
