National Youth Archery Championship 2026 rescheduled due to high school graduation exams

The National Youth Archery Championship 2026, slated to be held in Can Tho, has been postponed. The decision, announced by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Can Tho City, follows a directive from the Vietnam General Department of Sports.

The championship was initially scheduled from May 29 to June 8. However, with the Ministry of Education and Training setting the high school graduation exams (THPT) from June 10 to June 13, the original dates conflicted with the crucial academic event for many young athletes.

To ensure that student-athletes can fully participate in their final high school examinations without compromising their chance to compete, the General Department of Sports has revised the championship dates. The event will now be held from June 15 to June 25. The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Can Tho City has subsequently issued a plan to organize the championship according to the new schedule. The competition will feature individual, pair, and team events for both male and female athletes in the U21 and U18 age categories, using recurve and compound bows. The venue will be the Stadium of the Phuong Loi Ward General Services Center in Can Tho City.
