Neighbors Grow Concerned After Man Fails to Collect Newspapers; He Is Found Dead in His Home

An elderly man living alone was found dead in his apartment in the Yeşiltepe neighborhood of Kepez district. Neighbors grew concerned after noticing that İbrahim Ay, 87, had not collected his newspapers from the building's entrance for several days, a deviation from his daily routine.

Worried about his well-being, the neighbors contacted Ay's son. Upon arriving at the apartment and opening the door, the son discovered his father motionless inside. Emergency services were called to the scene, where they confirmed that Ay had passed away.

The municipal doctor deemed the death suspicious, prompting the dispatch of homicide detectives and forensic teams from the Antalya Police Department. Ay was known to have a heart condition. His body was transferred to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy to determine the definitive cause of death.
