Nepal Army dispatches 8 tonnes of relief supplies to flood-hit Rasuwa

The Nepali Army has mobilized eight trucks to deliver approximately eight tonnes of essential relief supplies to the flood-ravaged district of Rasuwa. The convoy departed on Wednesday night, aiming to provide immediate humanitarian assistance to residents grappling with the aftermath of severe flooding.

This significant aid package comprises vital items such as 500 mosquito nets, 1,000 dignity kits for children, 220 sleeping bags, and 500 blankets. Additionally, the supplies include 10 plastic sheets, 100 tarpaulins for shelter, 500 solar lamps with panels for power, and a crucial 30 KVA generator to restore essential services.

The operation was conducted under the direct supervision of Home Minister Sudhan Gurung, reflecting the government's commitment to addressing the crisis. As the Bhotekoshi River's flooding continues to disrupt daily life, authorities are intensifying rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts across the affected areas. The swift dispatch of these supplies underscores the urgency of the situation and the coordinated response to support the affected population.
