Nepal floods: Missing numbers near 900, 157 dead

The floods, believed to have been triggered by a landslide that dammed several rivers, have caused widespread destruction. Communities have been washed away, with homes, roads, and bridges severely damaged. Critical energy infrastructure has also been affected, complicating relief operations.

International concern is mounting as a significant number of foreign nationals are reported missing. Tourists from India, the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Malaysia are among those unaccounted for. Nepalese tourism authorities confirmed that citizens from over 25 nations, including Germany, France, Russia, Spain, and the Netherlands, are affected by the disaster.
