New BGK Loan Supports Development of Dual-Use Products

Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) has launched a new credit program aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Poland that are developing products with dual civilian and military applications. This initiative, mirroring existing technological and ecological loans, falls under the "European Funds for Modern Economy 2021-2027" program.

The new loan offers EU co-financing, providing a significant incentive for businesses to innovate in areas that can serve both commercial and defense sectors. A key feature of the program is that a portion of the credit will not need to be repaid, easing the financial burden on participating SMEs.

To be eligible for this "dual-use" product loan, companies must demonstrate sufficient creditworthiness. This requirement ensures that the funds are directed towards viable business ventures with the potential for growth and successful product development.

This program represents a strategic effort to bolster Poland's industrial capacity by fostering innovation in sectors critical for both economic development and national security.
