New head appointed for National Hospital in Bishkek

Talantbek Arstankulov has been appointed as the new chief physician of the National Hospital in Bishkek, the Ministry of Health's press service announced.

Minister of Health Damir Osmonov introduced Arstankulov to the hospital staff. Arstankulov, born August 1, 1972, holds a Candidate of Medical Sciences degree and the title of associate professor. He also possesses a master's degree in state and municipal administration.

Arstankulov brings over 30 years of extensive experience in the healthcare system and public administration. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Osh Oblast since 2024. In that role, he coordinated efforts in healthcare, education, social protection, culture, and sports, overseeing the implementation of state programs and liaising with the Ministry of Health, the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, international organizations, and local self-government bodies. He also managed medical institutions.

The previous chief physician of the National Hospital stepped down voluntarily.
