NewJeans Reportedly Preparing New Album in Copenhagen; Agency Confirms Pre-Production

Speculation is mounting that the popular K-pop group NewJeans is in Copenhagen, Denmark, gearing up for their next musical endeavor. Their agency, ADOR, has confirmed that the members are engaged in a "pre-production process for their new musical narrative." This statement suggests a strategic move to craft a fresh artistic direction for the group. ADOR further elaborated that the members are preparing their activities based on their individual conditions and optimized schedules, indicating a focus on member well-being and tailored career paths. While the agency has promised official announcements regarding the members' future activities at the most opportune time, recent online sightings of members like Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni in Copenhagen, coupled with reports of 'ADOR' being listed on a recording studio's schedule in the city, have fueled anticipation for a comeback. This development occurs against the backdrop of a contentious legal battle between ADOR and its parent company, HYBE, concerning exclusive contract terminations. However, following a court ruling that upheld the validity of the exclusive contracts, some members are reportedly moving towards reconciliation and a return to activities. While Hyein and Haerin have expressed their intent to return, Hanni is also leaning towards rejoining, and Minji is reportedly in ongoing discussions with the agency. Notably, Daniel's exclusive contract was terminated by ADOR in December. ADOR has also filed a lawsuit seeking damages and penalty payments totaling 43.1 billion won against Daniel and his family, as well as former CEO Min Hee-jin. The group's activities in Copenhagen, therefore, represent a significant step forward amidst these internal and external challenges.
