NIBIRU Opens: Romania Launches First Seaside Entertainment Resort, Europe's Largest

Romania's coast welcomes NIBIRU today, July 16, marking the grand opening of the country's first seaside entertainment resort and what is billed as Europe's largest dedicated entertainment destination. After two years of development, the resort launches its inaugural season with a packed schedule of 46 days filled with experiences and festivals.

NIBIRU aims to answer the common tourist question: "What is there to do at night by the sea?" The expansive complex includes over 30 shops and restaurants, and its program boasts more than 200 artists performing at 150 events designed for all generations. Andrei Șelaru, known as Selly and CEO and co-founder of NIBIRU, stated that the project, once an ambitious idea five years ago, has become a vision for a new generation of coastal experiences in Romania.

Today we are inaugurating a project that, five years ago, was an ambitious idea, and for the last two years has become a vision for which we have actively worked: that the Romanian seaside deserves a new generation of experiences.

"From now on, after a day at the beach, you have a place where you can continue the day and where you always find something to do," Șelaru said during the inauguration press conference. "NIBIRU is a place built for all generations, where you can come for a festival, for a concert, for a family evening, or simply to stroll along the promenade. We want people to discover that Romania can deliver international-standard entertainment experiences and transform Costinești into a destination that tourists want to visit every summer."

The opening night, starting at 6:00 PM, will offer a preview of the season's offerings. Attendees of NIBIRU festivals or the Beach, Please! event gain free access. The evening's entertainment includes the "Circus of Wonders" concept, aerial displays by the Romanian Aeroclub, hot air balloon shows, street artists, and fireworks. Following the opening, NIBIRU launches its first festival, GALAXIA, from July 16-19, featuring international acts like Ozuna, INNA, and DJ Snake, alongside local artists.
