Niger Pilgrims Board Set September 20 As Deadline For Payment of 2027 Hajj Deposits

The Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced September 20 as the deadline for potential pilgrims to pay their deposits for the 2027 Hajj. This date follows a similar directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which is itself complying with a mandate from Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Saudi authorities require all participating nations to upload the biodata of their intending pilgrims onto the "NUSUK MASAR platform" by September 20, 2026. Nigeria is expected to submit details for approximately 50,000 pilgrims within this timeframe. The Niger State board emphasized that failing to register and pay by the deadline could lead to the forfeiture of allocated slots for the 2027 pilgrimage.

Hajia Lubabatu Mohammed Kusherki, the Public Relations Officer for the Niger State board, stated that the board is committed to offering guidance and support throughout the registration process. Intending pilgrims are encouraged to visit the board's office in Minna or designated local government centers for registration and further inquiries.
