NiMet forecasts 3-day hazy, thundery weather across Nigeria

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a weather outlook predicting a three-day spell of haziness and thunderstorms from Sunday to Tuesday. This forecast serves as a crucial advisory for the public, particularly for vulnerable groups and those relying on weather-dependent activities.

Across the northern parts of the country, residents can expect moderate dust haze, which will significantly reduce horizontal visibility to between two and five kilometers. NiMet specifically highlighted localized areas in Katsina, Kano, and Jigawa states where visibility could drop to 1,000 meters or less. This mixed weather pattern requires continued vigilance.
