No Time Limit for Nurul Izzah's Study Leave

Nurul Izzah Anwar, the Deputy President of the People's Justice Party (PKR), will embark on a study leave following the party's 2026 National Congress. The party has affirmed that she will continue to hold her position as Deputy President throughout this period, demonstrating their support for her educational pursuits.

PKR's Secretary-General, Datuk Fuziah Salleh, stated that the party has not set a deadline for Nurul Izzah's return. "As of now, we have not given a time limit for the Deputy President's leave because she wants to continue her studies, and God willing, we will be ready when she is ready to resume her duties," Fuziah told reporters.

Nurul Izzah is expected to commence her leave after fulfilling all her responsibilities during the congress, including the closing remarks. The 2026 National Congress, themed 'Restoring Reform, Building Madani,' officially opened with the congresses of Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) and Wanita PKR. The main national congress is set to host 2,594 delegates, with an additional 1,773 observers already registered, a number expected to grow with walk-in registrations.
