NSW Fijians proud of young squad

The NSW Fijians team displayed commendable intensity and competitiveness in a close 59-58 loss to Auckland Fijians at the Fiji Netball Invitational Tournament, according to NSW Fijians President Eroni Kagi.

Kagi described the match as a hard-fought battle and a quality spectacle for fans, despite his team finishing on the losing side. He was pleased with the players' effort throughout the encounter.

The NSW Fijians squad is notably youthful, comprising players between 16 and 18 years old. Kagi stated that the primary objective for bringing this squad to Fiji was to expose and showcase emerging talent.

He highlighted the tournament's value as a platform for young athletes to test their skills against strong opposition and gain experience at a higher level. Kagi also extended his gratitude to Netball Fiji for the opportunity to participate in the inaugural event.
