Shangri-La expands Coral Coast 7s partnership

Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji, has solidified its enduring relationship with the McDonald's Coral Coast Fiji 7s by securing naming rights for the tournament's Women's Division for its 15th edition in 2027. The resort will also maintain its role as the official accommodation provider, extending a partnership that has been a cornerstone of Fijian sports for years.

The resort’s support has been instrumental in the growth of the tournament over the past 17 years.

This commitment marks Shangri-La's continuous support since the tournament's inception in 2010, making it one of the few original partners to remain involved throughout its entire history. The 2027 event is set to host a robust competition, featuring 24 men's teams, 12 women's teams, and 16 youth teams, with the newly branded Shangri-La Women's Division poised to attract top female rugby sevens talent from across the globe.

Jay Whyte, Founding Chairman of the Coral Coast Fiji 7s, highlighted the resort's significant contribution to the tournament's growth over the past 17 years.
