A violent clash between two rival groups in Shariatpur's Jajira upazila, Bangladesh, on Monday night led to the death of one person and injuries to at least 10 others. The incident, which occurred around 8:30 p.m. near Laukhola bazar, also involved the explosion of several crude bombs.

The deceased has been identified as Mannan Sardar, 70. He was reportedly a supporter of one of the involved groups. Locals took him to the Jajira Upazila Health Complex, where doctors pronounced him dead. Among the injured, Ripon Molla, who sustained critical injuries from an explosion, was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for specialized care.

According to police and local accounts, the conflict stemmed from a long-standing dispute over dominance between supporters of Rezual Shikder and Tamiz Khan. The violence erupted when supporters from both factions engaged in a confrontation, using crude bombs. Health officials at the Jajira Upazila Health Complex confirmed treating at least 10 individuals for injuries sustained from bomb blasts and sharp objects, noting that one person arrived deceased.
