A family has accused a teacher at a madrasa in Munshiganj, Bangladesh, of severely beating their nine-year-old daughter, allegedly causing a fractured spinal bone. The incident reportedly occurred on July 24 at Bage Noorani Hafezia Madrasa, where the second-grade student was allegedly assaulted with a wooden stick by teacher Md Safayet for failing to recite her lessons. The victim's family claims the child was initially threatened into silence but revealed the abuse days later due to unbearable pain.

According to the complaint, the madrasa principal, Md Tofazzal, allegedly urged the family to conceal the incident when they initially contacted him. As the child's condition worsened, the family proceeded to file a formal complaint against both the teacher and the principal at Sreenagar Police Station. The alleged assault has ignited significant public anger in the local community.

Residents organized a protest at the madrasa premises on Friday, demanding swift justice and punishment for those involved. Jewel Miah, the officer-in-charge of Sreenagar Police Station, confirmed the receipt of the complaint and stated that the matter is under investigation. However, as of the report's filing, a formal case had not yet been registered due to incomplete documentation, and no arrests had been made.
